- argument: claim that us supported by a premise
- issue: topic people have more than one perspective on

- claim: black lives really matter, she doesn't think America truly feels this way
- argument: black Americans remain at a disadvantage in almost every area of society (education, employment, housing, voters' rights, and felony conviction
- issue: statistics about how police violence results in more deaths towards African Americans compared to white Americans
Class Discussion:
- issue: unbalanced police brutality --> stats (race, "nature of the crime", un-armed)
- social injustice --> education + poverty, unequal access= disadvantage
- social media plays a big role in creating a new movement
